Siobhán Cleary Rebel Sister Film Director's Biography

Siobhán Cleary is an award winning filmmaker, she is currently in development with the feature film
Sisters of the Revolution.


Premiered in Ireland and Kosovo, 2014, If we can dance,  
a historical documentary on the war in Kosovo in 1999, where women activists organised a peace concert in the centre of a refugee camp.

The feature documentary, The Truth Lies In Rostock, won a special mention from the International Jury at the International Documentary Film Festival in Nyon. It was especially selected by the International Jury at Cinéma du Réel.

Battle of Trafalgar a classic of eighties politics the documentary won the Prix du public at International Documentary Festival in Nyon and had over 5 million viewers on Channel 4. Reviewed in 2018 as, "still one of the UK's most important documentaries..." Journeyman Pictures.

Siobhán Cleary is a member of the Writer's Guild of Ireland.
